Marine Monitoring
In 2021 we partnered with NatureScot to launch our intertidal Marine Monitoring project, which aims to undertake seasonal rocky shore surveys at three monitoring sites within the BMR.

Four times a year we will carry out a full assessment at Coldingham, St Abbs & Killiedraughts Bay. This regular survey will allow us to obtain a baseline of species and habitat data, as well as monitor any changes in abundance or distribution of marine life.

This project is reliant on citizen scientists to be able to gather data at the scale we require, and as such we will provide full theory and practical training to volunteers.
If you are interested in finding out more about this project and completing your volunteer training then please get in touch!
